Are Teachers Going Back To The Classroom? Here's What They Say

 The various associations of teachers have been on strike for the past few days now over their request for a cost of living allowance from government. Since this period, school activities in the public sector have been on a halt.


A lot of interviews have been granted by various media houses to find out from the teachers whether they have had a change in decision to go back to the classroom. Below are some of the the responses coming from the teachers.


In an interview on tv3, the president of NAGRAT, Jacob Anaba, stated clearly, the decision of the teachers at the moment. He said, "teachers are not going back to the classroom until the government decides to give us what we want. That is the cost of living allowance". This interview was granted on Monday morning, 11th July, 2022 on AM she, tv3.


To sum it all, what the teachers say is that they are not going back to the classroom until they get their COLA.
